“After playing together in South America in 2016, Olivia and I set about discovering the possibilities of the 12 string acoustic and the violin, currently interpreting songs from my own back catalogue, and adding a completely new magical layer to tunes that you thought you knew, taking them to new planets, new dimensions and new emotions.”
The Marty & Olivia story began at Europe's Night Of The Prog festival which Olivia compères and produces and which Marty attended as a member of Swedish proggers Anekdoten. One marriage, more than a dozen studio projects and six+ years of touring internationally later, the two continue crossing borders, in lots of ways, with a violin and a 12-string guitar. The pair have had the pleasure of playing in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, all over the USA, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, and now reside in Portugal.

He was a member of All About Eve and The Saints, and has co-written music with Grace Slick, Aimee Mann, Jules Shear, Susanna Hoffs and Linda Perry, among others. Today he represents one-half of Cornish duo Noctorum, and is lead singer and lyricist with Swedish band MOAT. Apart from that, Marty mentors aspiring musicians as part of his Sessioneer Series (www.songwritingandguitarguidance.com).
Where guitarists are encouraged to explore and label their individual style, violinists are usually expected to check one of two boxes, classical or folky. Olivia sits comfortably in-between, left and right, besides, in front and behind. Developing as an instrumentalist playing concerts with an orchestra in Sweden, Spain, Russia, and Lithuania, being a fiddle-playing extra in theatre, Olivia Elektra Willson-Piper, born outside Cologne, Germany, grew up multiculturally and multidisciplinary. She's lent her string and vocal skills to various genres and productions, appearing on Noctorum's The Afterlife and The Afterdeath EP, Atlantaeum Flood's One Day, MOAT's Poison Stream, Space Summit's Life This Way, and Arktik Lake's Shimmer EP, with more in the works.
